AVLAB 35 en tête d’affiche
L’édition 2026 de France Air Expo s’annonce déjà comme la plus ambitieuse jamais organisée.
Tous les grands constructeurs, de l’ULM au turbopropulseur, ont d’ores et déjà confirmé leur participation, confirmant ainsi le rôle central du salon dans l’écosystème de l’aviation générale.
Mais cette nouvelle édition va plus loin : l’aviation générale se positionne plus que jamais comme un véritable laboratoire de la transition énergétique, en accueillant des initiatives concrètes, des innovations de rupture et les acteurs qui façonnent l’avenir du secteur.

- Des conférences thématiques animées par les plus grands experts européens et internationaux.
- Un espace startups présentant innovations, prototypes et concepts d’avenir.
- Des exposants de renom, dont :
- Green Power Turbine Systems : première participation avec le TPE200, un turboprop hybride de 260 shp, 100% digitalisé et en cours de certification EASA
- Xenon Groupe : présentation d’un kit de retrofit Rotax 912is destiné aux Robin DR400
- Et plusieurs solutions motorisées innovantes
L’objectif est clair : accélérer les échanges, les idées et les expérimentations, et faire de France Air Expo un lieu où l’innovation durable prend forme.

Du Velis Electro à la nouvelle ère électrique
|

Le tournant amorcé avec l’arrivée du Velis Electro, soutenu par la FFA et devenu en 2020 le premier avion électrique certifié au monde, n’était qu’un début.
Avec plus de 100 appareils livrés pour la formation, il a ouvert la voie à une dynamique qui s’accélère aujourd’hui à grande vitesse.
Ce qui n’était hier qu’une vision devient désormais une réalité, et France Air Expo 2026 en sera le témoin privilégié.

Le Vintage Electrofit Challenge

Dans la continuité de cette dynamique, France Air Expo 2026 accueillera pour la première fois un événement aussi spéctaculaire qu’engagé, organisé par La Gazette de l’ULM et Microlights France : le VINTAGE ELECTROFIT CHALLENGE.

|
Un défi inédit, en direct : deux ULM mythiques des années 1980, le Weedhopper JC24B et le QuickSilver MX, seront entièrement convertis en ULM électriques pendant le salon, sous les yeux du public.
Objectif : démontrer que l’aviation ultra-légère historique peut, elle aussi, entrer dans l’ère électrique grâce à des solutions Plug & Play développées par Flying Ohm.
Deux équipes s’affronteront dans ce défi technique :
- Stéphane Roche, pilote, journaliste et héritier d’un patrimoine aéronautique familial
- Julien Foyer, technicien passionné et pilote d’autogire
Tous deux engagés pour une aviation durable et accessible.
Le message est clair : transformer l’existant plutôt que remplacer.
Offrir une seconde vie électrique à des appareils robustes et légers, parfaitement adaptés à une aviation de proximité, silencieuse et sans émissions.

A true hub dedicated to clean technologies, AVLAB 35 will bring together companies, researchers, manufacturers, startups, and institutions focused on developing low-carbon aviation solutions.
On the agenda :
• Themed conferences led by leading European and international experts
• A startup zone featuring innovations, prototypes, and forward-looking concepts
• High-profile exhibitors, including:
- Green Power Turbine Systems: making its first appearance with the TPE200, a 260 shp hybrid turboprop, fully digital and progressing through EASA certification
- Xenon Groupe : unveiling a Rotax 912is retrofit kit for the Robin DR400
- And several other innovative propulsion solutions

From the Velis Electro to a New Electric Era
The shift began with the arrival of the Velis Electro, supported by the FFA and certified in 2020 as the world’s first electric aircraft.
With more than 100 units delivered for pilot training, it paved the way for a movement that is now gaining momentum at high speed.
What was once a vision is now becoming reality, and France Air Expo 2026 will be a key witness to this transformation.

The Vintage Electrofit Challenge
To further highlight this momentum, France Air Expo 2026 will host, for the first time, a bold and spectacular event organized by La Gazette de l’ULM and Microlights France : the VINTAGE ELECTROFIT CHALLENGE.
A world-premiere live challenge : two iconic ultralights from the 1980s, the Weedhopper JC24B and the QuickSilver MX, will be fully converted into electric ultralights during the show, right in front of the public.
Objective : demonstrate that historic ultralight aviation can also transition to electric flight, thanks to Plug-and-Play solutions developed by Flying Ohm.
Two teams will take on this technical challenge :
• Stéphane Roche, pilot, journalist, and heir to a family aviation legacy
• Julien Foyer, passionate technician and gyrocopter pilot
Both committed to a more sustainable and accessible form of aviation.
The message is clear: transform rather than replace.
Give robust and lightweight legacy aircraft a new electric life, perfectly suited for local aviation that is quieter, simpler, and emissions-free.
